“The Threads Woven Between Us”

Chapbook 2025

A collection of poems all focused on my childhood, parents and the loss of innocence from childhood to adulthood. Presented in a multimedia sculptural book made of recycled fabrics, photographs, found objects, string; held together by yarn and a whole lot of hot glue.

This project started in late 2024 when I took Davida Singer’s multimedia writing class at SVA. That is when I first started writing poetry about the loss of innocence from childhood to adulthood and including my actual experiences within them. From there, I continued my work experimenting with multimedia confessional writing alongside Davida in an independent study- which is how “The Threads Woven Between Us” was born. Not only did this experience open up a new realm of possibility for my visual art, but was also an incredibly therapeutic and healing one for myself.
